Elgato Key Light Air

gear Mar 06, 2023

As you can tell, the impact of lighting on a video is pretty huge. Look at all of the variance from just my iPhone to my main camera!

The ability to increase or decrease brightness or change hue to get it dialed just right, during a livestream, would normally be impossible without fiddling with Bluetooth apps or touching the actual light

Elgato makes some seriously awesome products that work seamlessly together to keep every adjustment at your fingertips

My dark room and glowing shelves easily get washed out by typical lights, or even bulky soft boxes. This light is the key to consistently keeping me and my stream looking better than any other setup I’ve had.

To continue this Live-streaming series, I’ll talk about the crazy customizable Stream Deck tomorrow

"β€Šβ€ŠWhen you're live streaming, something super important is lighting. My camera's actually right there just to the side of where this one's at, and so when I have my light, I'm able to turn it up and down and change the colors. I can make it more of a yellow or more of a white color, and all of that's being done through.

A little touch panel here, so that light is called the Elga Key light air, and I control it with those switches. But the only thing that I didn't do was remember to turn off the stupid voice changer. Dammit. I'll see you tomorrow."

Having proper lighting is indeed crucial for live streaming, as it enhances the overall visual quality of your stream. It's great to hear that you have an Elgato Key Light Air for your setup. With its adjustable brightness and color temperature, you can easily control the lighting to suit your preferences.

Using the touch panel to adjust the light intensity and color is convenient, allowing you to create different atmospheres and adapt to various streaming scenarios. However, it seems you forgot to turn off the voice changer, which can be a minor inconvenience. Remembering to make such adjustments before going live can help ensure a smooth streaming experience.

If you have any more questions or need assistance with anything else related to live streaming, feel free to ask. Good luck with your streams, and I'll be here to help you whenever you need it. See you tomorrow!
