In a world packed to the brim full of clout chasers and bullshitters, some good old fashion help is hard to come by.
Especially in the early days of your journey.
Be that help for someone that deserves a spotlight (even a little one).
"ββWhen you're reaching out to collaborate with somebody, honestly, don't just look at people that are like doing big, giant cool things. Look around, find people that are doing cool stuff that maybe don't have any kind of a platform yet. Maybe they're really dope at one particular thing, but they don't have.
Any sort of a spotlight on them and you could come through and help and, and do some really cool video and like just collaborate and make something really cool together. Find people that you can help elevate, not just people that are up way above you that are already getting a bunch of attention. Those people are so used to others trying to sink their hooks into 'em so they can get like taken along for a ride.
If you just reach down any opportunity that you ever get and try to find somebody that you really think is like worthy of the time and the investment, even with no ask, just kind of paying it forward. Anybody who's ever helped you, that's what you're doing. You're just paying it forward to the next person.
Reaching down, helping them using video, and what you can do with that to elevate the cool thing that you see them doing. Do that, I swear. Have no expectations. Just do it cuz it feels good. All right, I'll see you tomorrow."
That's a wonderful mindset to have when it comes to collaboration. Seeking out individuals who may not have a large platform yet but possess great talent or potential is a fantastic way to uplift and support others. By collaborating and creating something meaningful together, you not only contribute to their growth but also foster a sense of community and pay it forward.
