Don’t look at yourself. Look into the lens. Try it, post it, and then watch videos from others. You’ll always be able to tell when they’re looking at themselves IYKYK Let’s see some videos, you can do it!
" All right, day two of 2023 making videos. We're not gonna edit this one either, but I want you to look in the lens on your next video. Don't look at your face cuz see how my eyes aren't looking at you? And now they are. It's because there's a little green dot on my iPhone and I'm looking at. That, that's where my lens is at.
It's not on my face, even though I naturally wanna look at my face on the screen right here. It makes me disconnect from the viewer, and that's who this is for. It's the viewer. It's not about me. It doesn't matter how I look. I still didn't shave just like yesterday, but I am looking at you. And that's a big differentiator between your videos and the next person, because they're so busy looking at themselves, worrying about what they're wearing and what their hat looks like.
Is it crooked? Is not, it doesn't matter. As long as you're giving somebody something good, such as this little tip about looking into the lens, then they're gonna appreciate you for your video. All right, I'll see you tomorrow."
This is a fantastic tip! Eye contact, even in video form, can establish a connection with your audience and make the content more engaging. It’s all about creating that sense of intimacy, where viewers feel like you're speaking directly to them. It's common for people to focus too much on their own appearance when they're recording, but as you've mentioned, the main point is to deliver valuable content to the viewer. Again, the emphasis on not worrying about your physical appearance and focusing on the value you're providing is key here. That's what viewers will remember and appreciate. Looking forward to your next piece of advice tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
