Shoot Video selfies in .5x on iPhone

filming tips Apr 13, 2023

You’ll hear the laughs and see the smiles long after the event has passed, and of course, you can find the best still frame from it too.

Shooting in .5x has a lot of cool uses, but one of my favorite ones is for selfies!

You can fit a ton of people in the shot

"  If you're meeting a bunch of new people in real life, pull out your phone, put your camera to 0.5 x and then turn it around backwards. Take a selfie with those people. Be like, what up NFT NYC. I didn't get to go. I'm just staying at home. NFT NYC. This is the best. Chris didn't get to come cuz he's a loser.

So that's all you have to do. And then you actually have a way better video and then everybody fits on there. And you guys just make fun of me in New York. I'll see you tomorrow."

It sounds like you have a fun idea for creating a video when meeting new people at an event. To capture everyone in the frame, you can follow these steps:

1. Take out your phone and open the camera app.
2. Switch the camera to the front-facing mode.
3. Adjust the camera zoom to 0.5x (or any suitable zoom level) to capture a wider angle.
4. Instead of taking a traditional selfie, turn the phone around so that the camera faces away from you.
5. Position the camera to include yourself and the people you're interacting with in the frame.
6. Capture the moment by taking a video or snapping a photo while saying something like "What up NFT NYC! I couldn't make it, but I'm here in spirit. You guys are having a blast!"
7. This way, you'll have a video or photo that includes everyone and allows for some fun banter.

Remember to keep it light-hearted and have a great time interacting with new people. See you tomorrow!
