This quality video that exists, is outperforming all of your perfect videos that you’re “gonna” post.

filming tips Mar 14, 2023

Start with what you have, post a video, and get the reps in. The quality you need to focus on the most is YOU, not your camera or your background.

I want you to know that you WILL get better if you keep showing up, day in and and day out.

You WILL probably feel silly at first. You’ll want to look better, and sound better, and you’ll compare yourself to others, but that’s ok.

It’s because you’re human.

You’ll have 10x more determination than someone who never starts, simply by posting 10 videos. Imagine after 50? Imagine after 500?

When a pro makes it look easy, what do you think they’d say, if you asked how easy it was to get to their level?

99%+ will never start down this road because they worry that they’ll look full of themselves. They’ll lose the battle with imposter syndrome. Theyll make excuses about what they need before they can start.

They’ll think everyone will care about how they look or judging them for how they sound, or for how much they know. But nobody will ever know for sure, because they’ll never even try.

Don’t be like 99%+ of people who only consume content, and never create it. Just start.

" Hey, this is a room where I make oh my content. And, uh, it's just actually something I built in my garage. It's not even good. This is a bunch of background noise walking into my house and I got laundry everywhere, and that's not good. And then this is a little corner. I'll just sit in and make this video.

Here's the point. It doesn't matter what room you're in, just make content somebody actually cares about, because I'm on my kid's iPhone eight. Uh, I'll actually show you what it looks like. It's, it's kind of silly and giant. Um, the audio is probably the only thing I got going for me right now, and it still doesn't matter.

Don't make excuses. Don't wait until you get the cool new camera or you have the super nice setup in, in the background that you want to have. Don't worry until your lights are perfect. Don't wait until any, any of that stuff. Start making videos now because as you start adding those little components in your videos will get better and people will actually be able to see it and they probably won't even care.

You'll probably be the only one that cares. About your quality increasing and getting better. All right, I'll see you tomorrow."

Absolutely, you've hit the nail on the head! The most important aspect of creating content is delivering something that resonates with your audience. The room or the equipment you use doesn't have to be perfect or fancy. What truly matters is the value you provide and the connection you establish with your viewers.

Starting with what you have and making videos now is the key. As you continue creating and honing your craft, you can gradually improve the quality of your content, including equipment, lighting, and other elements. But remember, the focus should always be on delivering content that people actually care about.

Don't let perfectionism or the lack of high-end gear hold you back from sharing your unique perspective and ideas. The important thing is to get started and keep going, making incremental improvements along the way. Best of luck with your content creation journey, and feel free to ask if you have any further questions or need assistance!
